Bedford Messiah Choir performs once a year, usually on the eve of Advent Sunday in Bunyan Meeting in Bedford. Chorus preparation involves just 4 two hour rehearsals on the preceding Sunday afternoons, and a mandatory afternoon rehearsal on the day of the Concert.
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic the Advent 2020 performance has been postponed, hopefully now taking place on 27th March 2021.

We welcome singers in all voice parts to join the choir and there is no audition. Given such limited rehearsal time, singers are expected to have sung the Messiah before. We have a lower age limit of 15, but no upper limit!

The singer's membership fee, currently £12, (under 21's £10), is only payable if you participate in the rehearsals and annual performance.

Our financial year starts on July 1st. At around that time each year we invite members to sign up for the forthcoming Advent eve performance. You will be able to download and print the 2019 Participation Form and submit it by post.
