A Regular Event in the Local Bedford Calendar

Our regular annual performance of Handel's Messiah takes place in Bunyan Meeting, Mill Street, Bedford on the eve of Advent Sunday. The performance by the choir of 60-70 local singers, conducted by Janet Welsh since 2002, also features invited trumpet and vocal soloists, and our regular organist Richard Heyes.

Thanks to generous local sponsorship and loyal audiences we have, in each year since 2000, been able to donate in excess of £1000 to a different local charity.

We are hoping that our next performance will be at 7:30 pm on Saturday 27th March 2021, in Bunyan Meeting Mill Street, Bedford.

Change of focus and emphasis from July to November

At the beginning of July each year, the start of our financial year, the emphasis and focus of this page of the website will switch from our previous performance to our forthcoming performance. At that point the links on the right, to publicity and new soloists, will be activated.

Those on the left, to our previous soloists and the supported charity, will be disabled and that information will be transferred to the archives.
